Halloween

Halloween

On Thursday, October 31st, Lincoln students will observe Halloween. The students at Lincoln School will parade in their costumes beginning at 2:15 pm along Bennett Ave.

Prior to the parade classrooms will have their Halloween parties.

After parading in their costumes, they will return to their classrooms.

Parents in attendance may sign their child out following the parade. Students not signed out will remain in their classroom until the usual dismissal time.

Costume guidelines:

  • Students should not wear their costumes to school.

  • There will be time to change into costumes prior to the

    parade.

  • Please be sure that costumes do not depict violence.

  • No play knives, guns, sharp objects, and no gory costumes depicting blood or violence.

Students who do not follow these guidelines will not be allowed to

    participate in the parade.

Nurse's Notes

Nurses Notes

Physical Examination & immunizations: Students in grades K & 6 must submit proof of physical examination and immunizations no later than October 15, 2025 to remain in attendance.

Dental Clinic: Orland Park Dental Services will be coming to OPS on 11/3 and 11/4! Eligible students will receive a cleaning, fluoride treatment, and sealants if needed. Sealants are a protective coating on the chewing surfaces of the back teeth. The dentist will also be using silver diamine fluoride this year. This treatment hardens cavities immediately and prevents them from getting worse while the student schedules a follow up appointment with their own dentist for treatment.  This program is offered for all grades, but the state requires K, 2nd, & 6th graders to have a mandatory dental exam prior to May 15, 2026. This dental exam will fulfill this requirement. Forms have been sent home with your students. Please fill them out and return them as soon as possible.

Vision examinations: All kindergarten students are required to submit proof of a vision examination.
